Platterful Campaign

The $80 Sad Board

The board that ends expensive trips to the grocery store.

01 - the brief

Beat the $80 grocery-store board.

Platterful ships a charcuterie kit — artisan cheeses, cured meats, accompaniments, plus build instructions. The assignment: differentiate from the brand's hands-only overhead ads by leading face-to-camera, and sell the kit against the relatable failure of the expensive DIY board that still looks sad.

02 - the insight

The enemy is the $80 board that looked like a Lunchable.

The buyer has tried and failed — overspent at the store, ended up with mismatched stuff. So the concept names that failure, then shows the kit turning "me, who can't do this" into a pro-looking board, with genuine reactions doing the selling.

Next time you're about to spend $80 pretending you know how — just get this instead.

03 - the creativge engine

Strategy before a single frame.

Pain

DIY charcuterie is expensive, time-consuming, and still looks amateur

Persona

The host who wants to impress without the skill or the grocery-store gamble

Angle

Funnel

Everything in the box — even you can make it look professional

Problem-aware → product-aware

The path the concept runs on.

04 - the matrix

Borrowed Enemy

Format

Demo

A demo that runs on a borrowed enemy, opened on a contrast hook. The $80 sad board is the unnamed villain, and the side-by-side makes the upgrade obvious without naming a competitor.

05 - the execution

Sixty seconds, face-to-camera, natural kitchen light.

Hook.

Standing in kitchen: "I used to spend $80... and it still looked sad."

Pain.

The random, mismatched grocery haul that looks like a Lunchable.

Build.

Unbox and follow the instructions — artisan cheeses, meats, cracks, accompaniments — real-time.

Payoff.

The finished board, genuine reaction, "I made this." Code KAYLA10.
